Why Treasured Friends?
Our service was born out of personal experience. As lifelong pet owners we have too often endured the very difficult experience of losing our beloved animals.
At the time of our pets passing, we were offered various alternatives to how we would like their remains dealt with. Where possible, we chose individual cremation with their ashes returned. Whilst this sounded the best option for us, the downside of this was that our cherished pet would need to be frozen and stored at the vets, awaiting a weekly ’mass’ collection. They would then be taken half way around the country to a large cremation facility, before being returned to our vet another week or so later?
Although we are not saying this is wrong, we just thought there could be a better, more sympathetic way for people that wanted a more dignified service for their pets.
We have designed our service to be very responsive and dedicate our service to your particular wishes.
- We collect immediately from your home or vet
- Your pet is handled personally from collection, through cremation to return
- Strictly, Private Individual Cremation (one animal, one chamber)
- Returned next day to your home (same day is often possible)
Association of Private Pet Cemeteries & Crematoria (APPCC) members
As the standards in the pet bereavement industry are generally quite poor, you are unlikely to get the service you expect unless you go to a reputable establishment.
We were therefore keen to achieve membership of the Association of Private Pet Cemeteries & Crematoria (APPCC) as they are the only organisation in Europe setting standards that protect you and ensure you are getting the service you expect for your pet.
With the APPCC you are not just ‘buying a badge’ – Our service and organization has been personally audited by the APPCC.
